The Pinguino from WM technics has been the first choice for mobile ice rinks and events for years. Compact, agile, and reliable, it ensures perfect ice quality on surfaces up to 800 m²—whether at city festivals, sporting events, or temporary ice rinks. At FSB 2025 in Cologne (Hall 9, Stand E028), WM technics now presents a decisive advancement that makes operation even easier and more flexible: the integrated charging station (Onboard Charger).

Bolzano/Cologne – At WM technics, they don’t just focus on the big players. Small ice rink operators and mobile ice surfaces are also top of mind for the engineers in Bolzano. That led to the development of the Pinguino years ago—and the compact ice resurfacing machine continues to evolve. With the new integrated charging station, the Italian company once again demonstrates the high priority of user-centricity at WM technics.

Previously, operators needed separate chargers for the lithium version of the Pinguino, which required space and had to be transported and installed. With the new Onboard Charger, this effort is eliminated.
The charger is integrated directly into the machine, enabling convenient charging with a standard commercial cable (110–230 V). For operators, this means more robustness, more safety, and significantly reduced logistics. The innovation proves particularly advantageous in rental operations: no separate components, no additional handling—the Pinguino is always ready for use.

Beyond this innovation, the Pinguino remains what has always distinguished it: a compact ice resurfacing machine with professional performance. The easy blade change without dismantling the sledge, quickly replaceable plastic runners, tanks for 1 m³ of snow and 340 l of water, and a weight of only around 1,250 kg make it a flexible all-rounder for any location.
Thanks to its intuitive operation, it’s easy to control even for less experienced drivers and consistently delivers high ice quality. For operators who want to work independently of the power grid, the Pinguino is also available in a gasoline-powered version.

“The Pinguino has proven itself as a reliable solution for mobile ice rinks for years,” explains Mirko Sparber, Sales Manager at WM technics. “With the integrated charging station, we’re now taking a step further: We’re significantly reducing the effort for operators and setting a new standard in terms of efficiency and user-friendliness.”

With the new Onboard Charger, WM technics demonstrates how proven technology becomes even smarter through targeted innovations. Visitors to FSB 2025 can experience the Pinguino with the integrated charging station live in Hall 9, Stand E028.
