1986 – When it all began

In 1986, Willy Mulser presented his first ice resurfacing machine. Starting as a small craft business, WM technics has since developed into an internationally recognized company with series production.
After a year of development, Willy Mulser presented his prototype of an ice resurfacing machine.

1986 – When it all began

Willy Mulser develops an ice resurfacing attachment for the Unimog vehicle company.

1987 - WM 2500

Our experimental model of an ice resurfacing machine featured a high-tipping snow tank and a 2,500 mm wide sledge blade.

1991 - WM 2300

The first prototype was further developed into a tool carrier. The first WM 2300 machine was exported to Langenthal, Switzerland.

1995 - WM 2301 High Tech

This ice resurfacing machine replaced the previous WM 2300 model and was available with an electric motor alongside gasoline or diesel options.

1998 - WM 2070 Junior

Our first ice resurfacing machine for smaller rinks, with a blade width of 2.07 meters / 7 feet

1999 - WM 1700 Mini

We developed an ice resurfacing machine for mobile rinks featuring innovative joystick control. This model was produced until 2009.

2002 - WM 1150 Micro

An experimental concept to build an ice resurfacing machine as a micro-sized model based on a lawn tractor.

2004 - WM Compact

A professional ice resurfacing machine for large ice surfaces featuring an innovative quick-change blade system and a color display.

2009 - WM Compact

The agile successor to the WM 1700 Mini, designed for small rinks and mobile ice surfaces, entered production.

2015 – Revolutionizing ice resurfacing

The evo², our professional ice resurfacing machine for ice rinks and large surfaces, was launched with an expanded snow and water tank, a new sledge blade with a quick-change system, and a larger color display.
The Mammoth, a model for professional stadium use, also debuted with a full-electric drive and a groundbreaking design, marking the new generation of WM ice resurfacing machines.
After years of collaboration with South Tyrolean vintners, Willy Mulser developed the Vitrac tool carrier, establishing the new business division WM AGRI Technics. The highly maneuverable and stable tool carrier is ideal for vineyards on steep slopes and is compatible with many accessory units.

2017 - Pinguino

We developed a compact ice resurfacing machine for events and mobile rinks. The small WM Pinguino ensures perfect ice care even on limited surfaces.

2018 - Shira

With the WM Shira, we introduced an efficient stadium ice resurfacing machine that stands out for its excellent value for money.

2019 - Autopilot

The future has arrived: the self-driving ice resurfacing machine with an autopilot system made its first independent rounds.

2022 - Viroc

WM technics revolutionized viticulture with Viroc, an innovative tool carrier featuring sophisticated structure, patented systems, and flexible multifunctionality. Its 75 hp at a base weight of only 1,250 kg provides ideal conditions for use on steep slopes in closely planted vineyards. The driver’s cabin, with ergonomic seating, adjustable steering wheel, and multifunction joystick, serves as the comfortable and intuitive hub of this modern marvel.

2023 – Mammoth Autopilot 3D

In 2023, we introduced the revolutionary WM Mammoth Autopilot 3D. This model doesn’t just drive autonomously but features an automatic ice-leveling system, ensuring perfect ice thickness after each run, enhancing ice quality, and reducing resource consumption for facility operators. Each additional centimeter of ice means increased energy consumption.

2024 - Viroc

After our ice resurfacing and agricultural machines, we combined our experience and technological expertise to create the perfect solution for maintenance work in urban areas. With WM technics, your town or city is always in impeccable condition.

Vision & mission

Vision

We aim to sustainably improve people's lives through collaboration, responsibility, and technological excellence. Our vision is a future where technology and innovation align with the well-being and needs of people—both within our society and our company.

We aspire to create a world where technological progress enhances people’s daily lives while safeguarding nature and future generations. At the heart of our vision is the individual as creator, user, and beneficiary of innovation. We believe true progress is only achieved when people work together—across disciplines, cultures, and borders. By collaborating closely with our partners, customers, and everyone in our community, we aim to develop solutions that are not only technically refined but also significant in social, cultural, and ecological contexts.

We envision a future where people gain better access to resources, knowledge, and opportunities through our technologies and solutions. A future where our innovations protect the planet while enriching lives worldwide. Together with our partners and society, we seek to create an environment where technological excellence and social responsibility go hand in hand, building a fair, livable, and sustainable world for all.

Mission

Technology and innovation are the main drivers of a sustainable future. Our mission is to tackle tomorrow’s challenges with advanced technology and creative solutions. We humbly accept this challenge with confidence in our ability to create environmentally and socially responsible solutions through shared efforts.

We focus on close collaboration with our partners, customers, and society to generate synergies and set new standards for responsible innovation. With a clear focus on resource conservation, emission reduction, and quality-of-life improvement, we strive to create long-term value. We are convinced that true innovation must align with nature and society. Therefore, we promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and responsibility for the world we leave to future generations.

For us, innovation means more than merely technical excellence; it is an integral part of our responsibility to the environment and society. That’s why we design each of our innovations to positively contribute to sustainable development—whether by reducing energy consumption, minimizing emissions, or promoting resource conservation. Together with our partners, customers, and the wider society, we strive to develop solutions that revolutionize the industry and have a genuine, positive impact on people’s quality of life. Because true innovation arises where technology and responsibility walk hand in hand.

"I can do
better!"

Willy Mulser
