Since March 2024, WM technics has proudly served as the official pool sponsor of Ritten SPORT ASV. This partnership deepens the longstanding relationship between the team from Bolzano and a trusted partner who has played a significant role in the company’s growth over nearly four decades.
Together since 1987
The journey began in 1987 when Willy Mulser, the founder of WM technics, delivered the first ice resurfacing machine, the WM 2500, to the Ritten ice rink. This machine served Ice Master Lenz reliably for 36 years, setting a new benchmark in international ice maintenance. Today, WM technics’ machines continue to deliver flawless ice at both the Ritten ice rink and the ice stadium in Collalbo.
In 2024, this remarkable partnership has entered a new chapter. As a pool sponsor, WM technics extends its support to the South Tyrolean club across multiple disciplines. The sponsorship benefits all sports sections, from ice hockey and soccer to speed skating. Importantly, it also bolsters Ritten SPORT’s renowned youth development program, which consistently produces top South Tyrolean athletes.
“We share the same values”
“Ritten SPORT ASV is an integral part of South Tyrolean sports culture. The ice rink is a premier venue for international speed skating, the Rittner Buam are legendary, and the club operates at the highest level in every aspect. Due to our shared history, WM technics feels a deep emotional connection to this club. We are immensely proud to support them,” says Mirko Sparber of WM technics.
Ritten officials echo this enthusiasm: “WM technics has been part of the Ritten sports community since 1987. We are delighted that this partnership has now reached the sponsorship level. Not only do we share a common history, but also core values: enabling young people to grow and succeed—in sports for us, professionally for WM, and in both cases, on a personal level,” emphasizes President Markus Hafner.
First appearance as sponsor
WM technics debuted as an official sponsor during the “Great Sports Day at the Ritten Arena” on June 8, 2024. Many more events are expected to follow through 2027 and beyond.
