The hydraulic all-wheel drive with radial piston motors was specifically developed for the demanding conditions on steep slopes. It ensures an even distribution of drive forces, offers high starting torque, and simultaneously enables sensitive power control.
Thanks to the self-locking hydraulic drive, the Vitrac cannot roll downhill uncontrollably. Regardless of the terrain, the vehicle is automatically braked as soon as the drive pedal is released – making even hill starts effortless!
The 4 independent spring-loaded brakes, one in each drive wheel, ensure safe stopping when the direction switch is set to neutral, the driver’s station is vacated, or the diesel engine is stopped.
The hydraulic differential lock prevents wheel spin and can be engaged and disengaged in a fraction of a second – even under full load. It operates without any loss of power, ensuring that drive force is evenly distributed to all four wheels, even in extreme situations.
At the touch of a button, the electronic cruise control maintains a constant speed, enabling consistent, precise performance. Regardless of the accessory unit and engine speed, the selected speed is continuously monitored and precisely regulated to enhance comfort, efficiency, and optimal results.
